"Hopefully this collaboration will be a good step for us, especially in the field of sports and youth," said Pramono.

This series of activities will be held at Taman Ismail Marzuki (TIM) and at several facilities owned by the Jakarta Provincial Government. The Wirasena Youth Camp will be held from October 21-31, with approximately 168 participants. The Indonesia Youth Summit will be held from October 29-30, 2026, with approximately 5,000 participants.

Pramono added that the Jakarta Provincial Government is paying attention to the future of the younger generation, especially in Jakarta. This includes providing educational assistance such as KJP, KJMU, and the planned LPDP Jakarta scholarship program.

The 2026 Wirasena Youth Camp and Indonesia Youth Summit are also being held to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Youth Pledge. Pramono hopes these activities will provide benefits and have a positive impact on young people.

Minister of Youth and Sports Erick Thohir stated that young people are the future generation of leaders. This activity will provide them with opportunities to grow and develop.

According to the latest population data, 22 percent of Indonesia's population of approximately 300 million is young generation. Therefore, he believes government intervention is necessary to boost the competitiveness of Indonesian youth on the international stage.

"If we don't intervene, it will be our collective fault. Paving the way for future leaders is key," stated Erick.

He added that the ministry has also kicked off the Indonesia Youth Summit collaboration with nine countries, including Saudi Arabia, China, England, America, Australia, Japan, Korea, and Singapore.

"I express my gratitude. We, the central government and local governments, can work together to start investing in our future leaders," he admitted.
